# Homelab #homelab ## Current - Internet traffic resolves my website's DNS to CloudFlare, - CloudFlare has records directing traffic through my ISP (Xfinity)... - ~~...to my modem/router (XB8-T / Technicolor CGM4981COM),~~ - ~~and that forwards to a reverse-proxy and ssl-terminator named "eft" (Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.1), which uses [[Caddy]].~~ - `vtt.` traffic goes to [[LattePanda]] running [[FoundryVTT]]. - I have [[Ansible]] playbooks and service configuration files stored in a GitHub repository. ## Future - It's time to spin up my own [[projects/homelab/services/RSS|RSS]] server - I'm considering Docker Swarm with gitops to manage my services. Then again, Nomad/Consul is another idea. (to read: blog.haschek.at/2025/ultimate-raspberry-pi-gitops-cluster.html) - I haven't yet set up my RPi5 running [[OctoPrint]], connected to [[3D-Printers#Prusa Mk3.9]] (and [[New-CNC]], when that exists) - I would love to run [[Calibre-Library]] to serve my collection of epubs and pdfs - I have a [Home Assistant Yellow](https://www.crowdsupply.com/nabu-casa/home-assistant-yellow) to configure [[HomeAssistant]] on. - I want to [[Monitor]] my services and machines - it might be nice to host a music library so I can [[music-streaming|stream]] it (or sync it) to a [[music-player]]. - Pihole/Adguard, of course. - [[BaseRow]] - [[NAS]] - can I self-host a state backend for Terraform? (see [[20250224 leuco.ink]]) - I'd like my property to have a hardwired [[PBX]], because cell service is spotty and we don't have a doorbell - I have an RPi 4B in a fancy Argon One Pi 4 v2 case. No idea what's on it or what to use it for. - "[Harbour](https://goharbor.io/) for caching container images. Generally really speeds up container creation in the Kubernetes cluster and avoids potential rate limiting" ([arch.dog](https://arch.dog/bark/2025-03-30-infrastructure)) - my local community has a [[GMRS]] network where I'm sometimes active. ## the hobby of homelab - I keep tools and supplies at my [[workbench]] - I'm currently building a cluster computer in [[TuringPi]], and hope to migrate services over to it at some point. - Assuming that cluster proves successful, I want to move it into a more permanent enclosure, like a 10" rackmount case. Planning for this project is in [[CUBE]]. - I have a few items in my [[Server-Rack|Server Rack]], but it's big and after CUBE is done maybe it's not necessary. - I still haven't found a use for the old [[Helm-v1|Helm v1]] hardware. - [ ] #project #home-assistant Yellow should do a cm5 upgrade? https://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog/2024/home-assistant-yellow-instant-2x-iot-speedup-cm5
